<p>Position Summary</p> <p>We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reproductive Technician. Reporting to our local Technician Team Leader and working as a key member of our Alta Genetics USA Tech Services Inc. company, this role is responsible to provide heat detection and insemination service to assigned customers.</p> <p>Location: working in and around Madison, WI</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Accurately follow on-farm procedures as designated by each individual technician </li><li>Provide for the safe, efficient and successful insemination of customer herds </li><li>Cooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service offering into a total farm management plan </li><li>Responsible for accurate data entry and protocol adherence </li><li>Provide accurate and timely reports when specifically requested </li><li>Provide timely response to requests for information </li><li>Create and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers via professional and respectful interaction </li><li>Continuously advance your skills and display a willingness to accept ongoing development activities </li><li>Effectively implement and ensure compliance with the policies, programs and directive of the company </li><li>Observe and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience working with and handling cattle </li><li>University study in Animal Science, Ag Science or related fields </li><li>Experience in heat detection on large farms preferred </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Must possess communication and people skills </li><li>Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally </li><li>Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus </li></ul>
