<p>Job Posting</p> <p>Join Our Team as an Accounting Specialist - TRID Reconciliation!</p> <p>Position Location: Hybrid - Madison, WI (Monday and Tuesday in office)</p> <p>Hours: 8:30am - 5:00 pm CST</p> <p>Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance? We're looking for an Accounting Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our mortgage lending processes. In this hybrid position, you'll be responsible for reconciling TRID fees, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining meticulous records.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Perform detailed reconciliations of funded loans, comparing TRID fees to ensure compliance. </li><li>Review and validate journal entries and supporting documentation. </li><li>Utilize loan origination systems (Encompass, Loan Vision) to generate and analyze TRID fee reports. </li><li>Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, providing clear and concise explanations. </li><li>Collaborate with team members and other departments to address inquiries and ensure timely resolution. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> <ul> <li>1+ year experience in accounting, banking, finance, or related field or Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables). </li><li>Proven ability to analyze complex data and identify discrepancies. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Ability to work in a hybrid enviroment. </li></ul> <p>Bonus Points:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with GAAP and mortgage lending regulations (TRID). </li><li>Experience with accounting systems. </li><li>Proven ability to quickly learn new software. </li></ul> <p>At Fairway, we are committed to cultivating, fostering, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
