<p>Position Summary: The Chemical Loading Operator performs all aspects of safely transferring liquid bulk chemical products to and from trucks, rail, and barges.</p> <p>Summary of the Main Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides efficient and traceable movement of company products both in-bound and out-bound </li><li>Perform standard work and follows standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality, and production goals are met </li><li>Responsible to take and interpret readings on various equipment, assessing any variation, standard troubleshooting, and taking action to address and return process to standard </li><li>Maintain proper housekeeping and clean work environment for areas of responsibility </li><li>Responsible for performing minor running maintenance of plant equipment </li><li>Responsible for the safe and proper management and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirements </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required </li><li>2 years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing or a 2-year certificate/degree in manufacturing is preferred </li><li>Ability to obtain a TWIC card </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Chemical operations background/experience is strongly preferred (at least 1 year) </li><li>Ability to work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that includes overnight and weekends </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Ability to perform physical labor associated with jobs </li><li>Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet </li><li>Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces </li><li>Strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes </li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe workspace based on following standard work </li><li>Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within and industrial setting </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization </li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn and successfully complete tasks of progressive responsibility and complexity </li><li>Computer literate </li></ul> <p>The hourly rate for this position is $27.09</p>
