The Accounting Team Lead reports to the Accounting Manager and interacts with every member of our team. At NDPERS, we proudly serve thousands of members across the state by providing one of the nation's best and most comprehensive benefit programs.</p> <p>As the Accounting Team Lead, you will serve as the accounting division's first point of contact, taking the lead on analyzing accounting issues, identifying and assessing solutions for resolution, and ensuring accurate and efficient operations. You will gain a well-rounded understanding of the day-to-day functions throughout the division.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the first point of contact for the Accounting Division </li><li>Analyze accounting issues and identify solutions for resolution </li><li>Perform retirement plan, insurance plan, and deferred compensation (457) plan accounting </li><li>Support daily accounting operations across the division </li><li>Use Excel extensively to manage, analyze, and reconcile financial data </li><li>Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency </li><li>Contribute to process improvements and strengthened internal controls </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <p>We are looking for someone with a passion for accounting and who is dedicated to empowering others to deliver exceptional service. This position is located in Bismarck, ND. Upon successful completion of the required training period, this position may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule.
