Here, you will make an impact by:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leading EHS programs, emphasis on environmental planning to maintain compliance to all applicable environmental standards and regulations, and conformance to all 3M environmental, health and safety expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Interpreting and rationalizing federal, state and local environmental standards for applicability and implementation at the site.</p> </li><li> <p>Completing and/or reviewing and submitting applicable permits and reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Leading environmental performance improvement projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Assessing new and changing processes, equipment and chemistry.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacting with internal auditors and regulatory agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as site environmental expert on environmental projects and communicating project status.</p> </li><li> <p>Participating in or leading initiatives aimed at enhancing EHS culture, behaviors, and</p> </li></ul> <p>accountability within all levels of the workforce.</p> <p>Your Skills and Expertise</p> <p>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following</p> <p>qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree or higher in a science, engineering, environmental, health or safety discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).</p> </li><li> <p>Five (5) or more years of experience working in an environmental, health or safety role in a manufacturing environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree or higher in a science, engineering, environmental, health or safety discipline from an accredited institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Eight (8) or more years of experience working in an environmental, health or safety role in a manufacturing environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Professional certification(s) primarily being Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong project management skills and ability to set objectives and deliver results.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience implementing comprehensive EHS management systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation).</p> </li></ul> <p>Work location: Alexandria, MN</p> <p>Travel: May include up to 10% domestic</p> <p>Relocation: May be Authorized</p> <p>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</p> <p>Supporting Your Well-being</p> <p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
