<p>The Human Resources Assistant is a key member of the PSG-California HR team and works closely with the Corporate Shared Services team. The HR Assistant provides support to the Human Resources department in functional areas including recruitment activities, employee onboarding, maintenance of employee records, report administration, e-Time, Payroll review, HRIS data entry, Company functions/events, back-up Administrative Assistant, and support for training programs and talent assessments. This role will be required to work in a team as well as own individual tasks.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department. </li><li>Provides support and guidance to employees in an open and customer service-oriented manner. </li><li>Manage, monitor, and audit all aspects of employee data and payroll administration. </li><li>Implement appropriate checks and balances to ensure payroll accuracy, process improvement and compliance with all state and federal requirements. </li><li>Prepares bi-weekly payroll changes by auditing and updating ADP e-Time within the deadlines provided. </li><li>Processes wage garnishments. </li><li>Tracks and processes participation in various reimbursement programs </li><li>Maintains attendance program in conjunction with supervisors. </li><li>Successfully administer key components of PSG's onboarding process in support of high-volume hiring initiatives, ensuring a fulfilling new hire experience. including reference checks, background checks, drug screens, and I-9 verification </li><li>Conducts new employee orientations for full-time and temporary employees. </li><li>Responsible for all HR data entry in the HRIS. Including but not limited to new hires, personnel changes, and terminations. </li><li>Process new hire/termination paperwork in accordance with Company policy. </li><li>Maintains employee personnel files and HRIS records. </li><li>Creates and educates employees of services available to them and encourages self-service tools such as HRIS/ADP and other systems. </li><li>Compile various HR/payroll reports as requested. </li><li>Manages employee engagement and community initiatives. </li><li>Assists Sr. HR Generalist with leaves of absence to include FMLA, CFRA, short-term and long-term disability. </li><li>Responsible for hourly recruiting activities. </li><li>Backs-up Administrative Assistant as needed. </li><li>Maintains stellar attendance. </li><li>The HR Assistant is expected to be familiar with the company's safety program and enforce the safety policy always. Never walk past an unsafe act. </li><li>Completes various assignments, events, and projects as required. </li><li>All other duties assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. </li><li>Recent graduate with Human Resource BA/BS degree will be considered in lieu of 3 years' experience. </li><li>Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification (preferred) </li><li>A minimum of 3 years' human resources experience in a large, (300+) fast-paced, and growing manufacturing environment preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint </li><li>Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - including VLOOKUP's, pivot tables </li><li>Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures </li><li>SuccessFactors, Workday or similar HRIS experience. </li><li>ADP experience a plus. </li><li>Bi-lingual Spanish a plus </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate Will Also Bring</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Must be able to treat highly confidential information with the utmost integrity. </li><li>Possess strong written and oral English communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. </li><li>Must demonstrate strong business acumen and use sound judgment in all decisions. </li><li>Able to operate with high ethical standards. </li><li>Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships. </li></ul> <p>PSG is the global pump, metering and dispensing-solution expert, enabling the safe and efficient transfer of critical and valuable fluids that require optimal performance and reliability in applications where it matters most.
