<p>This position begins as a temporary assignment with the intent to convert to a regular full-time employee after approximately 90 days, based on performance, attendance, and business needs</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Set-up (with no assistance) and run CNC Lathe and or Milling machines. To consistently machine parts as per assigned requirements for producing quality products.</p> <p>Please note this role is for a modified second shift 6:30 PM - 3:00 AM</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Performs all assigned machine shop operations. </li><li>Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results. </li><li>Inform team leader, Supervisor or Manager of any quality concerns Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures. </li><li>Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasks. </li><li>Completes and maintains paperwork for parts. </li><li>Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting tasks. </li><li>Monitor machines constantly. </li><li>Operate machine control system varying various parameters. </li><li>Perform minor machine repairs. </li><li>Enter number of items produced by the machine every hour or in a shift. </li><li>Set up CNC Machine. </li><li>Run machine after set-up processes. </li><li>Read and follow manufacturing orders. </li><li>Perform quality control inspections on products in process. </li><li>Maintain tooling. </li><li>Run 1st article parts. </li><li>Inspect 1st article parts. </li><li>Rework pieces as required. </li><li>Participate in research & development as required. </li><li>Maintain machines. </li><li>Assist lead person with creating new procedures for new products. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Knowledge of programming editing and set-up skills for CNC Lathe and/or Milling Machines. Knowledge of tooling standards/codes. Knowledge of various manual secondary operations relating to Lathe and/or Mill Machining processes. Must possess abilities and skills to use tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Precision set-up and machining per manufacturing order requirements. </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment. </li><li>Quality control on parts during processing. </li><li>Ensure all quality aspects of this position. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent or Certificate machining trade school or Minimum 5 years machining experience.</p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.</p> <p>MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Requires standing all day in a temperature controlled shop environment. Assignments involve working with small parts requiring acute eye and hand precision coordination.
