Drama Director - 2 productions (Spring and Fall) (.25 contract)</p> <p>Salary for the year: $702.75 ($351.37 per production)</p> <p>Loveland Middle School Drama Director - Two performances have traditionally been performed, one in the fall and one in the spring.</p> <p>One has typically been a musical and the other a traditional play.</p> <p>Applicants with experience in this field, leading and organizing adolescents, and strong organizational skills preferred.</p> <p>Job Title: Middle School Assistant Drama Director</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Assists the drama director with planning, organizing and directing the middle school drama activities, programs and productions by performing the following duties.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Assists the drama director with selecting the plays and musicals suitable for middle school students.</p> <p>Provides appropriate and original set design for productions chosen by the director.</p> <p>Assists the drama director with parent club meetings and procedure books for parent boosters.</p> <p>Assists with the coordinating and judging tryouts for the drama club selection.</p> <p>Supervises and advises students in the club in the absence of the drama director.</p> <p>Supervises student meetings and practices and directs their function.</p> <p>Helps organize students during rehearsals and productions.</p> <p>Works with director, set designer, set builder, choreographer and parent volunteers.</p> <p>Designs and implements design in full scale.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Supervises students of particular program and applicable assistants.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents or employees of the district. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, agencies, teachers or members of the school community.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>Valid certificate/license as issued by the Ohio Department of Education</p> <p>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements, Board of Education policies and state athletic association by-laws.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
