Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.</p> <p>This position is responsible for the installation and programming of Fire Alarm, Security, and Life Safety systems according to the operational requirements of the customer, required codes, and Pye-Barker quality standards. Typical commercial solutions include fire alarm, access control, CCTV, security, and nurse call systems.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Installation of cable including associated infrastructure and raceways</p> </li><li> <p>Program panels</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct testing and inspection of systems with authority having jurisdiction</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs; troubleshooting cables for opens, grounds, and shorts</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with other trades on jobsite</p> </li><li> <p>Daily progress communication with Field Superintendent; Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service)</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare service and status reports</p> </li><li> <p>Submit complete and accurate paperwork such as travel records, warranty reports, and code issues in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently on customer job sites</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties assigned by management</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high school education or equivalent required</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a minimum of 1 year fire alarm and or security industry experience</p> </li><li> <p>Technical school training is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate hand and power tools</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of computers, basic software, and networking a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Perks:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent pay</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, vision</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid life insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid short term disability</p> </li><li> <p>401K with employer match</p> </li><li> <p>Paid vacation and company holidays</p> </li><li> <p>Training and Career Development</p> </li><li> <p>Company vehicle (if job applicable)</p> </li></ul> <p>Pye-Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
