Lead reactive development efforts across Flavor, Chicken & Meat, Fruit and Vegetable, Sauces and Seasoning Development to meet customer needs as well as CIU targets demanded by the business. Participate in on-going tasting sessions to select and validate our submissions.</p> <p>B. Coordinate with Global R&T team for long-term technology exploration and assimilation into our capabilities. Support global GKA projects as needed.</p> <p>C. Work with Category Management and Portfolio team to prioritize workflow within the business unit to maximize resource deployment and project success. Ensure the Creative teams have the right level of skills and training and provide a leading role in the development of an agile, creative and fast paced wining organization. Ensure we meet and exceed our customers' time, delivery and cost expectations and our project management processes function smoothly and efficiently. Engage globally with counterparts and develop/support our Global Competencies structure.</p> <p>D. Together with sales directly participate in key reactive and proactive account activities, including marketing initiatives and relationship management goals. Interface and build relationships with identified key client decision makers and position Symrise with targeted brand, technical and innovation managers. The role is a key part of our business development process.</p> <p>E. Develop the technical team to ensure succession planning as well as defining a road map for growth for our key technical team members. Screen and recommend candidates for Global Flavor Training academy and or Seasoing Development Academy.</p> <p>Knowledge and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>MS Food Science or MBA Business equivalent or higher preferred </li><li>BS Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering or Business or equivalent required </li><li>5 + years commercial or business experience </li><li>10 + years in the flavor or food ingredient business preferred </li><li>Knowledge of Food- related ( savory, sweet, ingredients, sauces) markets and customer landscape </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>A high degree of entrepreneurial spirit and energy </li><li>Strong leadership and team building skills </li><li>Ability to think strategically and see the "big picture." </li><li>Strong ability to connect dots between technical and business needs </li><li>Strong presentation skills and public speaking ability. </li><li>Strong negotiation skills required </li><li>Maturity in judgment, tact and timeliness. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); Outlook and SAP a plus. </li></ul> <p>Become part of our open and transparent culture. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.</p>
