<p>Summary</p> <p>Reports to the Director of Beacon Health & Fitness, responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of The Youth Activity Studio. Activates, auditing and updating babysitting revenue, registration forms and maintaining first aid logs. Performs infant, toddler and young childcare as directed by ensuring Indiana Babysitting Guidelines are followed for ratios of children to adult for a safe environment. Be on their team. </li></ul> <p>Performs infant, toddler and young childcare as directed:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring and supervising infants, toddlers, and young children to ensure their safety and comfort while parents are utilizing the BHF. </li><li>Maintains safety trainings throughout the year, monthly, that tackle all safety issues that may arise in the Youth Activity Studio, along with handling behavior or children with disability, so the babysitting team is fully trained to handle all situations in the space. </li><li>Creates and implements a monthly schedule for the Youth Activity Studio that meets the Babysitting Guidelines for ratio on children to associates. Minimum of 6 associates directly report to the Youth Activity Studio Coordinator. </li><li>On-Boarding all new associates, making certain they understand the values of Beacon and Youth Activity Studio. </li><li>Organizes and creates weekly crafts and activates for the children. </li><li>Audits babysitting revenue to ensure all parents are being charged appropriately. </li><li>Maintaining the equipment, furnishing, etc., of the childcare area, in accordance with established procedures. </li><li>Conducting activities, games, crafts, etc. to educate and/or entertain children. </li><li>Auditing appropriate records (i.e., sign-in/out, processing proper registration documents and filing them according to BHF procedures, billing members for their childcare service, etc.). </li><li>Assists in sanitizing babysitting area including toys, tables, chairs and counter tops as well as fully maintaining cleaning log daily. </li><li>Securing childcare area at end of shift to ensure toys, furnishings, equipment and supplies are stored in appropriate place as well as first aid kits are fully stocked, and logs are current. </li><li>Enforcing the child security procedures to ensure children are picked up by approved person(s). </li></ul> <p>Leadership duties:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and assist Director in recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new associates. </li><li>Report maintenance issues in a timely manner. </li><li>Manage computer system scheduling and club management systems to track revenue and other reports that relate to Youth Activity Studio. </li><li>Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly metric reports reflection Youth Activity Studio activity new members, incident reports and overall revenue produced. </li><li>Monitor Beacon Health & Fitness policies and procedures to uphold the standards of Medical Fitness Association. </li><li>Monitors babysitting associates to be sure they are following policies and procedures. </li><li>Track hours and validates hours when exceeding budget for the space. </li><li>Monitors payroll for babysitting associates. </li></ul> <p>Performs information desk duties, minor maintenance, cleaning and securing the BHF by:</p> <ul> <li>Greeting clients, receiving membership cards, monitoring clients? access and logging information into computer system, as appropriate. </li><li>Answering client questions and inquiries regarding BHF operations, including demonstrating or answering questions on the club policy and procedure. </li><li>Assisting with conducting facility tours and explaining the club?s pricing and enrollment process. </li><li>Following emergency procedures as outlined in operations manual. </li><li>Scheduling and processing massage appointments and other special events, utilizing club computer system. </li><li>Applying and enforcing BHF rules and regulations, as directed. </li><li>Receiving complaints, comments, and/or suggestions from clients and promptly taking appropriate actions; utilizing BHF?s seek-to-serve policy. </li><li>Maintaining adequate supplies of items such as: cups, towels, toiletries, forms, brochures, schedules, snack items, pro-shop items, computer supplies, etc. </li><li>Performing regularly scheduled light cleaning maintenance duties, i.e., vacuuming, dusting, collecting towels, glass cleaning, wiping sinks and countertops, refilling amenities (e.g. soaps, shampoos, deodorants, etc.) and general cleanup in the locker rooms, lounge area, pool area and pro shop. </li><li>Folding and maintaining towel supplies in locker rooms and preparing soiled towel carts for pick-up and delivery by hospital distribution and laundry service. </li><li>Processing and completing sales and balancing the cash drawer on a shift basis. </li><li>Monitoring inventory of snack bar and pro-shop items on a shift basis. </li><li>Opening and/or closing and securing BHF at scheduled time when needed, or as directed otherwise. </li></ul> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. </li><li>Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes. </li><li>Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. </li><li>Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year. </li><li>Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department. </li><li>Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. </li><li>Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance. </li><li>Complies with established organization and department policies. </li><li>Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required. </li></ul> <p>Commitment to Beacon's six-point Operating System, referred to as The Beacon Way:</p> <ul> <li>Leverage innovation everywhere. </li><li>Cultivate human talent. </li><li>Embrace performance improvement. </li><li>Build greatness through accountability. </li><li>Use information to improve and advance. </li><li>Communicate clearly and continuously. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>The level of knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience providing childcare. Candidates hired after May 1, 2019; an associate?s degree is required. Bachelor?s degree is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates leadership and organization to maintain a safe environment for a large group of children ranging in age of 6weeks to 13 years old. </li><li>Requires training and knowledge on working with children that may have learning or physical disabilities while maintaining a fully inclusive space. </li><li>Create relationships with parents and children that retain member and their children. </li><li>Possesses strong communication skills, which are needed to work well with parents and children, along with being a part of the leadership team at Beacon Health & Fitness. </li><li>Demonstrates the interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with a diverse group of internal callers, clients, visitors, etc. in a professional, courteous, friendly and sincere manner. </li><li>Requires certification in CPR/AED and First Aid or arrangements to be certified within three months of employment. </li><li>Requires the phone skills according to Beacon?s telephone usage standards. </li><li>Requires the ability to operate and balance a point-of-sale register on a shift basis. </li><li>Possesses a personal commitment to positive fitness and health practices and presents an image consistent with a fit and healthy lifestyle. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of and a commitment to Beacon Health System?s mission and values; and the organization?s goal of providing exceptional client experiences by following Beacon?s Performance Essentials. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Works in an athletic club environment with frequent interruptions, potential of increased noise level and some discomfort due to cool temperatures. </li><li>Required the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential duties of the position. </li></ul>
