<p>Job Title: Prevention Educator</p> <p>Assignment: Various Montgomery County & Surrounding Schools</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Contract Days: 185</p> <p>Salary : $59,652.00</p> <p>Description: Serve as a part of our Prevention Team in our Integrated Support Services Division, delivering specific prevention and postvention programs and mental wellness services to students, staff, and families. Services include:</p> <ul> <li>Prevention K-12 programming; vaping education, suicide prevention, alcohol & drug education, elementary drug resistance skills, cyberbullying education </li><li>Student risk assessment and intervention </li><li>Positive Parenting Program </li><li>Community partner collaboration for student mental wellness </li><li>Professional development for staff </li></ul> <p>Candidates will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in training for the specified prevention program curriculum. </li><li>Collaborate with local districts to coordinate, implement, support, and assess assigned prevention programs. </li><li>Provide programming to students across various age and grade levels. </li><li>Assist with additional prevention-related initiatives as necessary. </li><li>Pursue continuous training and professional development in prevention education and social-emotional learning. </li><li>Commit to obtaining prevention certification. </li><li>Function as a flexible member of the prevention team. </li><li>Enhance and support the Social Emotional Learning Division to address the needs of local schools and students. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and/or a prevention specialist certification. </li><li>Satisfactory results on fingerprinting and criminal records check.
