Our office is in Danaco, CO. The Senior Industrial Estimator's primary responsibilities include timely and accurate development of bids and proposals for the management and construction. Our suite of benefits reflects our commitment to our employees.</p> <ul> <li>Salary $120,000 - $150,000, per year, semi monthly </li><li>Job type full time </li><li>Paid on-the-job technical and professional growth opportunities </li><li>Established career path for future advancement </li><li>401k and Roth 401(k) retirement savings plans </li><li>Health, prescription, dental, vision plans </li><li>Life & Disability Insurance plans </li><li>Financial wellness program </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Employee discount programs </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build and submit estimates (bids):</p> </li><li> <p>Review RFP packages provided by customer</p> </li><li> <p>Review work requirements with local operations management</p> </li><li> <p>Research and define cost elements related to project construction including labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors</p> </li><li> <p>Identify risks and develop project contingencies</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare written proposal outlining clarifications, exceptions and assumptions</p> </li><li> <p>Present final draft to management for final determination and risk assessment</p> </li><li> <p>Submit approved final bid to customer by stated due date</p> </li><li> <p>Attend customer scheduled pre-bid meetings:</p> </li><li> <p>Notate essential topics of discussion at the meeting</p> </li><li> <p>Attain a thorough understanding of the scope of work including desired construction methods, project timelines and customer expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Ask project related questions and record customer response</p> </li><li> <p>Visit job location to assess site conditions and assess constructability</p> </li><li> <p>Dissect and understand customer RFPs and scopes of work</p> </li><li> <p>Project Management/Post-award follow-up:</p> </li><li> <p>Provide job related documentation to field operations, project management staff and back office/administrative staff as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in contract pre-planning meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in preparing and submitting project/contract deliverables to the customer as required by the contract and internal requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively identify known or anticipated construction problems and suggest solutions to minimize cost and mitigate risk</p> </li><li> <p>Assist field personnel in developing and/or recommending change orders as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Negotiate positive resolutions with customer on any disputes that may arise</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain files as back-up for estimate figures</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in preparation of change orders if necessary</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>KEY QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years' experience estimating I&E for Oil & Gas Facilities and/or manufacturing construction projects is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Trimble Accubid preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Expert in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in technical writing</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance</p> </li><li> <p>Able to build and maintain client relationships</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organization skills</p> </li><li> <p>The physical activity for this role includes:</p> </li><li> <p>Travel as needed for site visits and client meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Manual dexterity, typing, computer and small equipment use</p> </li><li> <p>Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods</p> </li><li> <p>Walking on uneven and variable terrain</p> </li><li> <p>Site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather</p> </li><li> <p>Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check</p> </li></ul> <p>This role is accepting applications until filled</p> <p>This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.</p>
