<p>We are seeking a Manufacturing Technican in our Philadelphia, PA facility where we develop, produce and process specialized coatings and materials, primarily for the defense market. This role performs basic manufacturing processes, including but not limited to substrate preparation, coating, patterning, retouch, and finishing.</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Execute manufacturing or manufacturing-support processes according to standard operating procedures and current curriculum </li><li>Support schedule adjustments to meet production and shipping requirements, review visual schedule </li><li>Follow all appropriate Work Instructions, SOPs, Safety procedures and Company Policies while ensuring the safe use and proper care of company equipment </li><li>Retrieve and analyze trend charts and process data on trained procedures </li><li>Verify and enter production parameters per SOP and Routings </li><li>Accurately complete documentation in SOP's, logbooks and other WI documents </li><li>Maintain equipment and instruments </li><li>Demonstrate training progression through assigned curriculum </li><li>Proactively maintain a clean and safe work environment, take necessary action to eliminate safety hazards, and communicate to others any observed unsafe behavior </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or (GED) or equivalent experience </li><li>2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a vocational or technical certificate </li><li>Photolithography or related optics manufacturing experience desired </li></ul> <p>Skills & Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Basic skills in MS Office </li><li>Fundamental math skills are required; advanced math skills (algebra, trigonometry) preferred </li><li>Ability to read instructions and maintain concise written records are required </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in furnished written, oral or diagram form </li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Standing.: Particularly for sustained periods of time. (up to 2 hrs) </li><li>Working with Hand / Fingers: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling </li><li>Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
