The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.</p> <p>The Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Specialty Courts, has an immediate opening for a Program Project Coordinator in Jefferson County.</p> <p>The Department of Specialty Courts oversees the Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court programs. Collectively referred to as Specialty Courts, these programs are similarly structured and supervised and have the same goal - to give participants the opportunity to overcome substance use disorder and make a positive change in their lives.</p> <p>The PPC will be responsible for the local drug court program and ensuring participants are complying with program requirements.</p> <p>Examples of duties or responsibilities of this classification:</p> <ul> <li>Acts as liaison to promote the specialty court program in the local community. </li><li>Works with community agencies to provide resources such as financial assistance, alternative housing, medical screening, educational, and vocational rehabilitation, and substance use treatment. </li><li>Enters data in a management information computer application. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining and reporting program data as required, including grant management if applicable to program. </li><li>Will be responsible for participant intake utilizing an eligibility assessment and other information. </li><li>Will carry a participant caseload and provide direct case management. </li><li>Responsible for obtaining treatment sign-in sheets, treatment plans, checking treatment invoices and communicating treatment facility concerns. </li><li>Some statewide and overnight travel required. </li><li>Will oversee drug testing with contracted vendor. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Service field</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Assoc./2 yrs. job related experience or High School Diploma /4yrs.job related experience</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Working knowledge of substance use disorder treatment.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Skills to deal with highly stressed, high risk and high needs individuals. Skills to deal with substance use disorder behaviors and crisis management. Must be able to conduct direct observation of urine drug screening on same sex individuals as needed.
