<p>Company Overview</p> <p>By Light Professional IT Services LLC readies warfighters and federal agencies with technology and systems engineered to connect, protect, and prepare individuals and teams for whatever comes next. Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Plans, directs, and organizes the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, modifications, patent and software license agreements, reseller agreements and associated processes, as well as generate and maintain standard terms and conditions of sale for use across all contracts and subcontracts.</p> <p>The Contract Manager is the focal point for all communication with DoD ACO, Corporate management, finance and business development for resolution of contract issues and disputes.</p> <p>The Contract Manager's responsibilities also includes procurement activities and proposal support (review/analyze RFP; cost proposal review for compliance to RFP, CAS, FAR, and corporate standards; and Pricing.)</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Proposal preparation to contract closeout (commercial and US Government) </li><li>Reviewing and negotiating terms for subcontract agreements. </li><li>Developing a negotiation strategy on contractual issues and participates on negotiation teams. </li><li>Ensuring contract requirements flow within Program Teams. </li><li>Analyzing significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with appropriate laws and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field </li><li>10+ years contract administrator/management experience in the military/defense industry </li><li>10 years of professional experience (including procurement and pricing) </li><li>Knowledge of FAR, DFAR/DoD contract regulations, practices and procedures </li><li>Must have experience in negotiating Intellectual Property clauses </li><li>Must have knowledge of laws concerning ITAR </li><li>Must have experience in preparing (not just reviewing) large Cost Proposals </li><li>Proficient in MS Office </li><li>Excellent negotiation skills </li><li>Ability to provide guidance on contractual, legal, and financial issues related to contract proposals and agreements </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with external and internal customers </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Task- and team-oriented, self-motivated, analytical, and organized </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Qualifications</p> <p>Special Requirements/Security Clearance</p> <ul> <li>The abilityto obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance </li></ul>
