<p>World Language Teacher</p> <p>Position Title: World Language Teacher</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Individual must be able to teach high school students at all grade levels (9-12) in high school world language courses.</p> <p>Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>An appropriate candidate will display professionalism and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Candidate must be highly skilled in classroom management and student engagement and student engagement skills. Candidate must be able to skillfully use differentiated instructional strategies and use data to guide their instruction, work collaboratively in a Professional</p> <p>Learning Community, prepare lesson plans, record grades using the Corporation Electronic grade book, and assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum. Candidate must be part of the 8-Step Process of instruction and remediation. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with students and parents.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold a current High School Level License/Certification in the language they are teaching grades 9-12, and be Highly Qualified </li><li>A Master's degree or higher is preferred </li><li>An ideal candidate will hold a current License/Certification in any additional world language </li><li>Experience teaching varying levels of high school foreign language courses is preferred </li><li>Previous experience teaching in an urban high school setting is preferred </li><li>An ideal candidate will have an endorsement in another Foreign Language such as German, French or Latin </li></ul>
