The ideal candidate will be familiar with curriculum, possess strong skills in progress monitoring using Lexia, have expertise in implementing routines, and demonstrate the ability to use data effectively to plan and adjust whole and small group instruction, including the use of decodables. This position involves weekly data analysis sessions to inform instructional planning and direct student instruction. There will be some required training during April and May. Staff will be paid the contracted rate of $35 an hour.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Curriculum Familiarity:</p> <p>Demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum.</p> <p>Align instructional strategies with curriculum guidelines to ensure effective teaching and learning.</p> <p>Data-Driven Instruction:</p> <p>Utilize data, including progress monitoring with Lexia, to assess student literacy development.</p> <p>Conduct weekly data analysis sessions to identify areas of improvement and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.</p> <p>Instructional Planning:</p> <p>Develop detailed weekly lesson plans based on curriculum standards, SRSD routines, and student performance data. Implement engaging and differentiated instructional activities to meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating the use of decodables.</p> <p>Direct Instruction:</p> <p>Provide direct literacy instruction to students in grades K-8.</p> <p>Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.</p> <p>Supervise, monitor, and attend weekly field trips.</p> <p>Progress Monitoring:</p> <p>Implement ongoing formative assessments, including Lexia, to monitor student progress in literacy and adjust instruction as needed. Keep detailed records of student performance and communicate progress to parents and stakeholders.</p> <p>SRSD Implementation:</p> <p>Effectively implement Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) routines to enhance students' writing and comprehension skills.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).</p> <p>Valid teaching certification with a focus on literacy education.</p> <p>Previous experience teaching literacy to 3rd-5th grade students.</p> <p>Familiarity with the Wonders curriculum and its effective implementation.</p> <p>Proficiency in progress monitoring tools, particularly Lexia.</p> <p>Knowledge and experience in implementing SRSD routines.</p> <p>Strong data analysis skills and the ability to use data to inform instructional decisions.</p> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Classroom management expertise.</p> <p>Duration:</p> <p>This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer school program.</p>
