The Senior Pharmacy Technician is responsible for promoting and preparing the appropriate, safe, secure and effective distribution and inventory of all pharmaceutical products for the optimal care of pediatric patients.</p> <p>Schedule: PRN</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform key related skills including use of the EMR, common word processing, spreadsheet, medical literature and medication databases </li><li>Regularly assists other pharmacists as time allows and as requested </li><li>Demonstrates ability to perform tasks necessary to provide a smooth operation within the Pharmacy Department </li><li>Answers telephone, performs general filing, handles mail, and performs duties as assigned </li><li>Follows all regulatory rules and regulations regarding medications, including controlled substances </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to federal and Oregon State Board of Pharmacy regulations </li><li>Maintains accurate inventory and records for all controlled substances as required by law </li><li>Documents activities within Pharmacy Stars in timely manner, including daily temperature </li></ul> <p>Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may by required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>2 years Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital setting </li><li>Pharmacy Technician license in Oregon </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Trained and experienced in the preparation of sterile products </li></ul>
