<p>Job Title: Quality Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Quality Technician supports the quality management system by performing precise measurements and inspections throughout the production process, creating and running CMM programs, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. This role helps ensure that all products meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements by validating processes, supporting audits, and providing clear, organized quality data and reports.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with corrective actions by gathering data, documenting findings, and supporting follow-up activities as required. </li><li>Collect, organize, and maintain assembly and inspection records, receiving inspection documentation, and other quality-related documents in a manner that ensures easy and timely access. </li><li>Create measurement programs for the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to support in-process and final inspections. </li><li>Operate the CMM to measure parts accurately and verify conformance to engineering specifications and GD&T requirements. </li><li>Perform inspections using manual and automated equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, vision systems, CMM, and other inspection tools as needed. </li><li>Complete measurements and inspection of products in process and at final stages to verify compliance with customer and internal requirements. </li><li>Follow product release procedures to ensure all product and related documentation conform to requirements prior to shipment. </li><li>Provide production support by assisting with quality-related questions, clarifying specifications, and helping resolve quality issues on the shop floor. </li><li>Support the certified quality management system (QMS) as needed, including documentation, process validation, and adherence to established procedures. </li><li>Assist with internal, external, and customer audits by providing documentation, records, and measurement data, and by explaining inspection processes when required. </li><li>Help ensure production consistently meets customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements through diligent inspection and accurate reporting. </li><li>Perform other quality-related duties as required or delegated by a supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to perform inspections using various types of inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, vision systems, and other precision tools. </li><li>At least 1 year of experience in CMM programming and operating, preferably using MCOSMOS or PC-DMIS software. </li><li>Demonstrated experience creating and running CMM measurement programs to support in-process and final inspection. </li><li>Strong ability to read and interpret part drawings, engineering specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). </li><li>Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and data entry. </li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly document findings and collaborate with production and quality teams. </li><li>Ability to complete measurements and inspections of products at various stages of production with high accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Experience supporting a certified quality management system (QMS) through documentation, process validation, and adherence to procedures. </li><li>Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment, supporting both quality and production goals. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The Quality Technician works in a production and inspection environment that combines hands-on measurement activities with computer-based documentation. The role involves frequent use of precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, vision systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) running software such as PC-DMIS or MCOSMOS. Work includes both in-process and final inspections on the shop floor and at dedicated inspection stations, requiring attention to detail and adherence to established quality procedures and product release processes. The position involves regular use of Microsoft Word and Excel for recording inspection results, maintaining records, and supporting internal and external audits within a certified quality management system.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
