<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for administering the operation of the Broad River complex main gate. </li><li>Ensure control and security of the South Carolina Department of Corrections Broad River complex/area buildings/ facilities & equipment, to include access & egress from the BRC, Education Division (formerly known as the Director's house) & grounds surrounding institutions and/or divisions of SCDC. </li><li>Supervise & verify the accuracy of scheduled visitors & functions to ensure only authorized personnel are permitted entry. </li><li>Evaluate officers' duty performance; instruct & counsel officers in required duty performance standards. </li><li>Ensure subordinates maintain all training & certification requirements & receive additional training, to include OJT as needed or required. </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant experience.
