<p>General Responsibilities:</p> <p>As a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting staff to identify, diagnose and execute solutions for day-to-day people-related inquiries, while providing excellent employee experience. Perform a variety of duties to support the Human Resources Department. Working collaboratively with staff to meet department and agency objectives. Areas of responsibility include maintaining updated employee records, preparing benefit packages, leave of absence administration and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Completed post-secondary education preferably in HR, or Business Administration or, 4+ years of Human Resources experience, including HR knowledge on regulatory requirements and processes. </li><li>Strong experience in an HRIS </li><li>Competency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectively work across all levels of staff, as well as external agencies. </li><li>Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize </li></ul> <p>multiple assignments</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Dayforce preferred </li><li>HR Professional Certification, preferred. Candidates without HR certifications must be willing to obtain certification within one year of hire </li><li>Candidates who do not meet all of the preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>Significant Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with HR teams and site leaders in support of people related activities. </li><li>Complete employment transactions and maintain updated HRIS employee records related to new hires, transfers, terminations, etc. </li><li>Manage and respond to incoming inquiries and communications in a timely manner via phone, </li></ul> <p>email, and HR ticketing system.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in process improvement efforts and identify opportunities for efficiencies in workflows and processes. </li><li>Support compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations (EEO/AA, OSHA (Occupational </li></ul> <p>Safety and Health Administration), etc.)</p> <ul> <li>Deliver reports weekly, monthly, yearly, or upon request to other departments, leadership, vendors, etc. </li><li>Assist in the development and execution of compensation and benefits strategies to attract, </li></ul> <p>retain, and motivate employees.</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with the Compensation and Benefits manager, administer annual increases and annual bonus payouts and advise on adhoc salary increase requests. </li><li>Maintain documentation of salary classification and compensation programs. </li><li>Coordinate and process Thundermist managed benefits (Loan and Tuition Reimbursements, CME, Wellness Incentives) </li><li>Oversee employee benefits open enrollment and coordinate vendor webinars </li><li>Process staff enrollments, terminations, and changes to benefit plans </li><li>Proof and process monthly benefit plan invoices </li><li>Respond to staff questions regarding benefits and 403(b) inquiries </li><li>Administer 403(b) plan enrollments, loans and withdrawal, and transfer employee and employer contributions from payroll to third-party vendor </li><li>Manage COBRA process through third-party vendors </li><li>Manage Individual Wellness Accounts (IWA) quarterly reimbursement. </li><li>Initiate workers' compensation claims/ maintain case files </li><li>Complete OSHA logs/ annual posting requirements </li><li>Manage leave of absence requests (process leave notifications, review medical certifications). </li><li>Provide staff/management guidance to leave related questions. </li><li>Follow-up with staff while on leave ensuring appropriate documentation; collect group insurance premiums owed and follow-up as necessary, etc. </li><li>Processing of unemployment claims, working with third party to prepare for unemployment </li></ul> <p>hearings.</p> <ul> <li>HRSA in service and employment verifications. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS access, troubleshooting, and user training. </li><li>Implement HRIS updates, enhancements, and improvements to streamline HR processes. </li><li>Support system integrations and ensure seamless flow of data between HRIS and other systems. </li><li>Additional duties/projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Physical Effort/ Environment:</p> <ul> <li>This role is hybrid, which requires remote and onsite availability. The position requires extensive computer use in a general office environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time position of 40 hours per week. Workload may occasionally require working more than 40 hours per week </li></ul> <p>Communication Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess excellent communication skills.
