It emphasizes hardware security in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), embedded AI security, detection and mitigation of side-channel attacks, and the security and trust of firmware and embedded systems. This program runs from June 1 through July 31, 2026.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet federal contract requirements. </li><li>Electrical engineering, computer/software engineering, computer Science, or any other related disciplines with a 3.0 or higher GPA </li><li>Sophomore, junior, or senior </li><li>Must graduate after September 2026. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Essential Functions and percent of time:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct Research in Trusted Microelectronics (40%) </li><li>Perform hands-on research in the lab, focusing on trusted microelectronics and semiconductor security to assist in the design, implementation, and development of research projects related to hardware security and cybersecurity. (50%) </li><li>Utilize lab equipment and software tools to analyze, test, and evaluate hardware security solutions. (25%) </li><li>Participate in technical workshops and hands-on experiments to enhance research capabilities.
