<p>Why do we need you ?</p> <p>The Quality Engineer will use quality tools applicable to Tape Solution products to meet facility, customer and quality system requirements which is a critical part of this position. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are required in order to interface with customers, operators, and staff as well as the evaluation of effectiveness of inspection and process control mechanisms which is an integral part of this position. The development of systems and procedures, training of personnel in the use of quality tools, and continual monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators are also important. This position will also collaborate with the Quality Laboratory to comply with testing and certification as needed.</p> <ul> <li>Evaluation of quality issues using statistical and problem-solving techniques to determine root cause, implement corrective and preventive actions and improve processes. Six Sigma Projects and communicate with customer </li><li>Collaboration of Quality Testing Laboratory (physical, mechanical, analytical testing & evaluations) to support routine & nonroutine material & product testing- both to enable product certification generation & also support product & process improvements. </li><li>Management & Coordination of Nonconforming Material Control process, including directed efforts at expedient dispositioning of N/C material, HOLD inventory reduction, analysis of N/C material to facilitate root cause corrective actions </li><li>Coordinate and respond to customer quality requests/requirements related to films products. (Some travel may be required). This includes development and submission of applicable First Article Inspections ad other system requirements. Report nonconformance condition (either product or process) to appropriate personnel as required </li><li>Perform studies to identify process capabilities, developing product inspection and test procedures, and report quality requirements and Meet with customers or suppliers to solve quality issues and customer/supplier audits as required </li></ul> <p>Is this job for you ?</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Chemical, Material Engineer preferred) </li><li>3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in Quality, Laboratory or other associated technical function required. </li><li>Must have knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to interpret data and train/coach other in use, ISO-9001/AS-9100 QM knowledge and experience and Guage calibration and Measurement System Analysis experience. </li><li>Helpful to have DOE (Design of Experiments) ability to develop, execute and analyze experiments. </li></ul> <p>A little more about us</p> <p>Saint-Gobain provides one-of-a-kind opportunities for innovative problem solvers. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.</p> <p>In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,600 to $139,800.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.</p>
