To do so, we must continue shaping the future of communications by applying the best minds to the challenges our customers will continually face.</p> <p>We're looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our division located in Avon, CT, to help our Quality department ensure customer satisfaction by supporting the organizations' quality goals and objectives with a primary focus on incoming and outgoing inspection of products. Be a critical part of the team inspecting precision material used in aerospace, defense, and medical industries.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Incoming inspection and verification of purchased parts and raw materials to documented requirements and specifications. </li><li>Final verification of manufactured product to documented requirements and specifications. </li><li>Product release and issuance of various certificates, waivers, or production related discrepancies. </li><li>Database entry for both quality and manufacturing, working with JDEdwards, as well as our Manufacturing, and Quality Database. </li><li>Assist in registrar, customer and internal audits as needed. </li><li>Support the resolution of customer complaints and RMA's when requested. </li><li>File and maintain company Quality Records. </li><li>Record and file Material Review Board (MRB) minutes. </li><li>Problem resolution (CPARs, non-conforming material, etc) </li><li>Microsoft Access Quality database activities (Certificates of Compliance, Incoming, Waivers, etc.) </li><li>Supporting our ISO System, and gathering data as needed. </li></ul> <p>Key qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>1-5 years experience in a Quality or industry-related role. </li><li>Inspection or process/assembly experience in a high technology environment involving small parts, microscopes, mechanical gauges (examples: calipers, digital micrometers, comparators), and other inspection /measurement tools or the aptitude/ability to learn. </li><li>Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints, specifications, and ISO procedures. </li><li>Attention to detail, drive for accuracy and highly organized. </li><li>Basic Computer / PC knowledge - ability to use MS 365 applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). </li><li>Knowledge of and experience in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 based manufacturing environment preferred. </li></ul> <p>Working at LIGHTERA means having the opportunity to realize ideas, experience innovation and discover new solutions for the future.
