<p>The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire three licensed candidates dedicated to making a difference in our community for the Clinician III positions for the "Intensive Outpatient Program" (IOP). The ideal candidates will have experience conducting individual, group, couples, and family therapy with adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma informed care, and harm reduction strategies.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Complete all complex clinical assessments for annual reviews to include Comprehensive Needs Assessments, Risk Assessments, DLA-20's, Diagnostic Review, and Columbia Suicide Assessments. </li><li>Develop and write all treatment plans for individuals entering the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or expanded Substance Use Disorders (SUD) services and complete their quarterly reviews. </li><li>Submit Medicaid authorizations and re-authorizations. </li><li>Provide both process groups and psychoeducational groups, individual therapy, family and couple's therapy and crisis counseling. </li><li>In the absence of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Supervisor, the Clinician III is responsible for delegating tasks, ensuring the safety of all individuals in the program at all times, handling crisis situations, ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner, communicating with the administrative team, and being knowledgeable about policies and procedures. </li><li>Responsible for individual monitoring, answering telephone inquiries, knowledge of referral sources, documentation in individual charts and other duties as assigned. </li><li>Assist in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation to strive for continued program service delivery to individuals. </li><li>The Clinician III will be the consultant for others on the team to discuss complex case conceptualizations, treatment planning and discharge planning. </li></ul> <p>We are hiring for two evening shifts. Please see the work schedules that are available below. Afternoon/evening schedules associated with this position are eligible for shift differential pay according to City policy 2.08.</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm </li><li>Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm </li></ul> <p>A $4,000 hiring bonus is being offered for this position. Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original full-time employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.</p> <ul> <li>$1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck. </li><li>$1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations." </li><li>$1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations". </li></ul> <p>The City offers a?generous benefits package which includes health, dental and life insurance, retirement, and savings plans, maternity/paternity and parental leave, holidays and paid leave.</p>
