<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position negotiates and administers contracts for IT contracts, primarily for the Bureau of Technology Management (BTM), and other DOC technology centered solicitations. This position serves as the agency contract expert for the rapidly changing IT industry and functions as the chief liaison between the DOC and the IT community and contract management for other assigned commodities or services. This position, working with the BTM staff, is responsible for the entire spectrum of IT contracts including hardware and software, equipment, and IT services. The position will conduct market research and make recommendations on innovative and creative new approaches for IT contracts and will be responsible for utilizing state contracts, including using the Request for Service processes for IT contractors. The person in this position will also work with BTM in planning, forecasting, solicitation development, evaluation of solicitations, negotiating contracts (including complex software license agreements).</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is between $57574 and $94993 per year depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the compensation plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. The pay schedule/range is 07-03. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.</p> <p>The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.</p> <p>Note: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Procurement of any IT commodities or services, including any of the following: inventory management, processing requisitioning, quotes, simplified bids, price negotiations, supply chain management, etc. </li><li>Developing, negotiating, auditing, managing, or reviewing contracts </li><li>Conducting market and/or cost analysis for commodities or services </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Conducting Requests for Bids and/or Requests for Proposals for commodities or services </li><li>Negotiating contract terms and conditions for services and/or commodities </li><li>Working in an IT setting, for an IT firm, or in IT operational support </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click on "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
