Your role with this group will provide transparency into one of the largest global networks beingestablishedtoday. The scope includes parts arriving at Tesla's network of warehouses then downstream manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a leader who can lead teams through ambitious implementations, is a critical thinker, creative, results driven, anddata-centric. The Planning Intern will learn how to lead efforts to develop material flow standards and principles for Teslas facilities.You'dbe encouraged to lead teams on initiatives related to warehouse automation,inventory management,facility and material flow design and launch.Interns will support supply chain planning operationsandoptimizeparameters to improve supply chain efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Purchasing</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Purchasing team supports the development,implementationand management of strategies to provide Tesla withoptimalsupply assurance, pricing, flexibility,qualityand delivery performance. They work toward good supplier relationships and total costs of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers. The Purchasing Intern will implement and manage strategies to provide Tesla withoptimalsupply assurance, pricing, flexibility,qualityand delivery performance. The ideal candidate has a fundamental understanding of key manufacturing processes, excellent project management skills, and an ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who builds andleveragesstrong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. Theypurchaseassigned commoditiesdesignatedby a team and negotiate,evaluateand issueRFxandPOs for assigned commodities.
