<p>Description</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>To ensure that empowerment-based, best practice participant services are provided to shelter and hotline participants. Plans, develops, and manages the shelter and hotline programs.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for overseeing and managing participant service in compliance with organizational policies and procedures, contracts, local, state and federal funder and certifying body requirements. </li><li>Ensures shelter environment is safe for participants and staff. </li><li>Responsible for overseeing and ensuring fiscal and programmatic targets are met for direct-service programs. </li><li>Oversees Kitchen manager and ensures the kitchen operations are maintained </li><li>Plans and develops programs; reviews programs to evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency, recommends program changes. </li><li>Oversees the management of data collection and compile with program reporting requirements. </li><li>Designs, implements, and monitors outcome measures and quality improvement plan. </li><li>Responsible for overseeing all shelter programs alongside all shelter leadership team including case management, Crisis Support Advocates, hotline, kitchen, and Economic Empowerment teams. </li><li>Directly supervises the Shelter Manager, Crisis Support Advocate Manager, shelter housekeeper and Kitchen Manager. </li><li>Develops, implements, and oversees Internship programs with universities in the community; supervises student interns. </li><li>Facilitates weekly case conference meetings in the absence of the shelter manager. </li><li>Assists with staff development and staff trainings. </li><li>Performs on-call duties. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitates trainings and presentations in the community. </li><li>Represents the agency at various community meetings. </li><li>Collaborates with other groups/agencies to meet participant needs. </li><li>Ensures all funder reports are submitted accurately and on-time. </li><li>Provides input and program information to the grant writing team. </li><li>Coaches Program Managers and Supervisors, enhancing their skills. </li></ul> <p>Accountability: Areas in which the position is accountable/responsible:</p> <ul> <li>Budget: Accountable for overseeing budgets for shelter and hotline programs. </li><li>Records: Accountable for accurate data collection and programmatic reporting for shelter and hotline programs. </li><li>Policy Planning and Development: Accountable for policy planning and development for shelter and hotline programs. </li></ul> <p>Supervision Responsibility:</p> <ul> <li>Direct supervisory responsibility: Shelter Manager, Kitchen Manager, shelter housekeeper and Economic Empowerment advocate. </li></ul> <p>Business-Related Contacts:</p> <ul> <li>Funders, partner agencies, organizations, professionals in the community, and universities. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education/Training/Experience</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), behavioral or social science supplemented by five (5) years experience in human service administration preferred. </li><li>Relevant program management experience may be considered in lieu of education. </li><li>Program management and supervisory experience required. </li></ul> <p>Specialized equipment or machines used in this position</p> <ul> <li>Computer skills and working knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet software. </li></ul> <p>Certification or Licensing Requirements</p> <ul> <li>FCADV Competency-Based Core training plus an additional 6 hours of individualized training (30 hours total) to qualify for privilege status; must successfully pass written test </li><li>Valid Florida Driver's License with at least two years driving experience, active automobile insurance and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. </li><li>Must be able to pass and maintain a Level II background check </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>The work environment for this position is that of an office atmosphere with a moderate noise level. </li><li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
