Instruction is delivered in accordance with West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) guidelines and aligned with Boone County Schools' curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning while the student is unable to attend school.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide individualized instruction to students approved for homebound services in accordance with county policy and WVDE requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver instruction aligned to Boone County Schools' curriculum and state content standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with the student's classroom teacher(s), school counselor, and administration to ensure continuity of instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of instructional hours, lesson plans, and student progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate regularly with school personnel regarding student performance, attendance, and concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all confidentiality requirements related to student records and medical information.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all Boone County Schools policies, procedures, and timelines related to homebound instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Submit required documentation and logs in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend required meetings or training sessions as directed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid West Virginia teaching certificate appropriate to the student's instructional needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and manage instructional time effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain professionalism in home or alternative instructional settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet all employment requirements of Boone County Schools, including background checks.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Conditions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Instruction may occur in the student's home, hospital, or other approved setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule and hours are determined by student needs and county approval.</p> </li><li> <p>Position is temporary and contingent upon student eligibility and program funding.</p> </li></ul> <p>Evaluation</p> <p>Performance will be evaluated by the supervising administrator in accordance with Boone County Schools and WVDE evaluation procedures.</p> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
