<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>NR25-35</p> <p>Logan County</p> <p>1 vacancy</p> <p>Parks-Chief Logan State Park Employee supervises all aspects of the building maintenance and grounds management programatChief Logan State Park. Employee must have extensive practical knowledge, of and experience in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, heating/air conditioning, and the ability to supervise maintenance, renovation, and repair to the same. This individual supervises other employees and also prepares schedulesandassigns duties based upon priority and need. This working supervisory position performs the same or related duties as assigned to staff as well as visually inspecting the work performed. Thisindividualis responsibleforsupervising and performing maintenance on, around, and in all buildings; appliances and equipment within these buildings; water lines; electrical systems; telephones; roofs; and any other facilities necessary. Has the ability to plan renovations and other special projects. Employee will work with park guests toimmediatelyresolve their maintenance requests in a manner reflecting a positive image for Chief Logan State Park. Also works directly with Superintendents to plan and conduct repairs and upgrades in related areas.Supervises and schedules auto maintenance and orders supplies for maintenance and cleaning as well as other supplies. Responsible for upkeep of tools and all work areas. Employee operates under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and the Park Superintendent. Works to foster good employee, community, and park guest relations. Always maintains safe work practices for self and other staff. Employee is available for emergency repairs as scheduled on a "subject to call" basis. Employee wears the provideduniformand must have a valid driver's license. Employee must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and night shifts and should be available for"oncall" work. Employee works throughout all park facilities including the Chief Logan State Park Lodge and Conference Center. Employee must be able to lift and move heavy objects. Employee is required to work on ladders and at rooftop heights. Regular attendance required.
