Bound by our undying passion for climbing, skiing and mountain adventure since 1957, our team's limitless energy and hands-on involvement continues to create a promising future for all climbers and skiers worldwide.</p> <p>Black Diamond is looking for Copywriter for researching, composing, positioning, and cross-referencing all marketing product copy for catalogs, workbooks, packaging, collateral, websites, advertising and P.O.P materials. Actively contribute to Creative Team in research and development of creative concepts and executions. Coordinate sales and marketing collateral projects, working directly with Designers and Marketing Manager (brochures, fliers, sales sheets, etc). Maintain Black Diamond Marketing Library .</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for all Black Diamond copywriting and product database cross-referencing in a timely manner, as directed by the Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing. This includes copy for all BDEL (family of Brands) catalogs, advertising, simple and complex packaging (instructions, infotags, header cards, boxes), collateral, point-of-purchase displays and websites. </li><li>Participate on and actively contribute to Creative Team in research and development of new creative concepts and executions, including advertising campaigns, catalog themes, sales tools, website design and content. </li><li>Coordinate sales and marketing collateral projects (brochures, fliers, sales sheets, etc), working directly with Designers, Photo Manager and Marketing Manager. Solicit Sales, R&D and CM input, develop creative direction, write copy and supervise project from concept through print production. </li><li>Maintain Black Diamond Marketing Library of magazines, journals, catalogs, workbooks and other sales and marketing collateral. </li><li>Maintain the brand voice consistently across multiple facets in accordance with the company-wide standards. </li><li>Collaborating closely with product designers and engineers throughout the development and creation process of innovative products to create dynamic messaging for seasonal marketing assets. </li><li>Develop and maintaining an effective process to correctly identify and position products in new seasonal copy. </li><li>Manage product messaging from season to season, and ensuring copy is revitalized year to year. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Who You Are</p> <ul> <li>You have a bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business </li><li>You have demonstrated experience in brand/product marketing in the sports industry or similar. </li><li>You have a deep understanding of a broad range of sell-in and sell-through marketing tactics across multiple sales channels. </li><li>You have an ability to manage complex projects with an attention to detail and on -time delivery. </li><li>Familiarity with rock/ice climbing, freeride/backcountry skiing, mountain culture and equipment is preferred </li><li>You have an ever-growing tool belt. You have extensive experience with copy management tools, and can efficiently create and edit copy-to-fit multiple deliverables. </li><li>You can juggle the details. You're able to manage project logistics and you have a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail -- while still creating compelling work. </li><li>You're an excellent communicator. You have a gift for absorbing and adapting ideas, and then turning that into compelling brand messaging. </li><li>You stay up to date with industry leading best practices for brand messaging tactics. </li><li>You're an adaptable self-starter. You flourish in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment. You can go with the flow and you don't let hiccups upset you.
