York Agricultural Institute</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Welding Technology Adjunct Instructors are responsible for providing instruction to students in all areas of the training program to prepare them for the entry into welding industry careers.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Teach/instruct students through lectures, demonstrations, and/or audio visual aids. - (Essential) </li><li>Prepare syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans. - (Essential) </li><li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate students' progress; Must develop and maintain effective student assessment practices and grading processes. - (Essential) </li><li>Maintain appropriate student records and submit timely reports. - (Essential) </li><li>Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the industry. - (Essential) </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment for student learning. - (Essential) </li><li>Source and request needed instructional supplies and equipment necessary for proper student instruction. - (Marginal) </li><li>Develop and maintain strong industry partnerships to enhance the students' learning experience. - (Essential) </li><li>Assist in program recruitment and assist certified graduates with placement opportunities. - (Marginal) </li><li>Maintain required annual 60% completion, 70% placement, and 70% licensure rate pursuant to the Council on Occupational Education (COE) accreditation standards. - (Essential) </li><li>Ensure compliance with all TBR, institutional, state, and federal requirements. - (Essential) </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Post-secondary diploma or certificate from an accredited technical training program in the welding field</p> <p>Three (3) years' experience in the welding field within the last five (5) years</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>AWS or other industry-recognized certification</p> <p>Teaching experience</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher</p> <p>Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, email, etc.)</p> <p>Indication of willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel</p> <p>Commitment to remaining current with industry practices through professional development activities</p> <p>Ability to travel and/or work after school activities such as graduation, in-service, etc.</p> <p>Salary</p> <p>Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology and Tennessee Board of Regents salary guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>A criminal background check will be required for the selected applicant. </li></ul> <p>To be considered for a position at TCAT Oneida, you must submit a complete online application and include required document uploads.
