Take advantage of our tuition assistance and scholarship programs to grow both personally and professionally.</p> <p>Monitor Technician Position Summary</p> <p>The Monitor Technician observes and identifies patient cardiac rhythms via telemetry monitoring systems, notifying appropriate nursing personnel of changes in the patient's cardiac rhythm.</p> <p>Monitor Technician Position Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>Successful completion of basic cardiac rhythm recognition course at </li></ul> <p>Peninsula Regional Medical Center or other facility</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of Medical Terminology course preferred. </li><li>Basic computer skills and verbal and written communication skills required. </li><li>6 months experience with cardiac monitoring preferred. </li><li>Experience in healthcare field such as EMT is desirable. </li><li>Basic math skills to include multiplication, division, addition and subtraction of decimals and mathematical calculations/percentages. </li><li>Ability to work independently, under time and accuracy pressures, to work with others in close quarters, to prioritize effectively and to maintain focus/concentration while watching multiple screens for an entire shift. </li><li>Requires the ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship intradepartmentally and interdepartmentally </li></ul> <p>Monitor Technician Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>12-hour shifts </li></ul> <p>Monitor Technician Benefits</p> <ul> <li>At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits. </li><li>Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union. </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $17.70 - $26.55 Commensurate with experience</p>
