<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience in computer science, information systems, or a closely related technology field. </li><li>Deep expertise in network infrastructure, cloud computing, and systems security. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, modern network and cloud solutions. </li><li>Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. </li><li>Proven client-service orientation, with experience supporting both internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace </li><li>Strong communication and consultative skills. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team and in partnership with cross-functional groups. </li><li>Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required. </li><li>Documented evidence of a clear criminal record in compliance with state statute. </li><li>Complies with drug-free workplace rules and Board policies. </li></ul> <p>Job Location: In-person</p> <p>FLSA Classification: Exempt</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Technology and Digital Learning</p> <p>Job Objectives:</p> <p>Lead and modernize the Educational Service Center's network and cloud infrastructure with a forward-looking approach that positions the ESC as a regional leader and model for other districts. This position focuses on scalable systems, integrated technologies, and high-touch service for districts and partner organizations. It supports a consultative, fee-for-service model designed to meet local needs not currently addressed by other regional agencies. Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure Innovation Specialist works closely with internal specialists in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data systems to ensure alignment and innovation across services.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <p>The following duties represent performance expectations. The list below is not ranked in order of importance.</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement advanced network and cloud-based systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable. </li><li>Lead initiatives to modernize infrastructure beyond daily operations, creating replicable models for partner districts. </li><li>Serve as a technical advisor to districts, building strong working relationships through ongoing support and consultation. </li><li>Maintain a high level of responsiveness to client needs through a consultative, fee-for-service delivery model. </li><li>Identify and develop new service offerings in response to unmet regional needs, especially where gaps exist between existing providers. </li><li>Coordinate system integration efforts in collaboration with cybersecurity, AI initiatives, and data/insights. </li><li>Oversee technical project planning, procurement, deployment, and maintenance of network and systems infrastructure. </li><li>Provide leadership for systems upgrades, migrations, and security enhancements. </li><li>Monitor and maintain compliance with licensing, regulations, and best practices in security and systems management. </li><li>Assist in grant development, strategic planning, and budgeting as related to technology infrastructure and innovation. </li><li>Develop and maintain documentation and procedures to support system reliability and user access. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Digital Learning. </li></ul> <p>Performance Evaluations:</p> <p>Job performance is evaluated in accordance with Board policy and administrative guidelines of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio.</p> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <p>The employee is responsible for maintaining proper certification/licensure and beginning the renewal process in time to ensure no lapse in credentials.</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Commensurate with experience</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Complete employment application through the online system at www.escco.org/careers</p> <p>JobID 22715</p> <p>August 2025</p>
