You will develop programs and implement or supervise the implementation of those programs based on identified needs.</p> <p>Available Shifts</p> <p>Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Asses therapy-related status of residents on caseload upon admission, annually, and status changes. </li><li>Develop therapeutic programs in areas of feeding, positioning, mobility, sensory or motor development, orthopedic status and adaptive equipment. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to include and train other employees on therapeutic programs in care plan. </li><li>Implement or supervise therapeutic programs with residents, monitor, and make adjustments as needed. </li><li>Instruct staff and families of appropriate rationale, procedures, and precautions of program. </li><li>Design, construct, and monitor resident use of adaptive equipment, orthotic devices, wheelchairs, mobility and positioning devices. </li><li>Documents services and communicates resident therapy programming to relevant people and agencies. </li><li>Attends required meetings, trainings and general supportive department functions. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Current license for Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy in Ohio. </li><li>Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in occupational therapy or physical therapy. </li><li>Must have a valid CPR/First Aid certificate. </li><li>Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with hands-on work. </li><li>Proficient computer skills. </li><li>1 year of related experience in developmental disabilities, long-term care or educational setting preferred. </li><li>Valid Driver's License with no more than 5 points, proof of insurance, driver's abstract preferred. </li><li>Experience in long-term care, developmental disabilities, or similar settings preferred. </li></ul> <p>Excellent Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage </li><li>Retirement Plan with generous 50% employer match </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement opportunities </li><li>Immediate access to Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>Employee Wellness Program with on-site health screenings </li><li>Employee discounts through the ADP LifeSmart program </li></ul> <p>Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen</p> <p>Heinzerling Community is a substance-free workplace and does not accommodate the use of drugs or medical marijuana</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement</p> <p>Heinzerling Community is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p> <p>We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
