This role involves outreach, collaboration with community partners, planning classes or events, recruiting instructors, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for diverse populations.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in program development, and able to engage effectively with individuals and organizations to foster strong community relationships.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Works in conjunction with Executive Director to plan, coordinate, and implement community education programs, workshops, and events </li><li>Works with the Executive Director to assess community employer needs and assists in the development of relevant community educational programs to meet those needs. </li><li>Supports Executive Director of Adult & Community Education in the recruitment and training of instructors for community education programs </li><li>Assists prospective instructors with Human Resources (SD2) paperwork </li><li>Provides assistance to prospective instructors with any certification attainment required by the State of Montana in order to teach Community Education certificated courses </li><li>Promotes programs through outreach, marketing materials, and social media </li><li>Collaborates with local organizations and government agencies </li><li>Manages community education program registration and logistical support </li><li>Evaluates program effectiveness and instructor performance in conjunction with Executive Director </li><li>Continuously seeks innovative opportunities to be presented to Executive Director for Community Education expansion. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organizational policies </li><li>Collaborates in the creation of IETP proposals with Adult Education staff for submission to the state for approval </li><li>Collaborates with certification program instructors to schedule national exams. </li><li>Works with office staff in the development of Community Education catalog. </li><li>Collaborates with the Executive Director in developing procedures with Community Education instructors for canceling classes or substitutes. </li><li>Supports office staff with other duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Bachelor's preferred) </li><li>Experience in program supervision and coordination, community outreach, or education </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to work with diverse adult learner populations and build community partnerships </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media and/or online registration platforms </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will supervise community education instructors delivering classes to adult community members and evaluate program effectiveness.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or GED; at least two years of college with coursework in educational equivalent experience required; 3-5 years of program administration experience; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with support staff and administrators.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include sitting and working for long periods of time, standing, bending, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
