<p>JOB SUMMARY: Assist Accounting Manager with cost, financial, and statistical data functions for Hancock Health and all other entities</p> <p>JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to manage Cost Accounting Module upkeep in Meditech. </li><li>Ability to manage quarterly benchmarking submissions. </li><li>Ability to work in various financial and data softwares to extract relevant data. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following list describes the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain Cost Accounting module in Meditech </li><li>Assist with benchmarking submissions and reporting </li><li>Assist with maintaining stats and required reporting internally and externally </li><li>Assist with data projects for internal and external reporting </li><li>Assist with Internal Auditing </li><li>Assist and provide analysis on special projects </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>COST ACCOUNTING SYSTEM</p> <ul> <li>Routine annual maintenance in cost accounting not consistently being done. Service Unit rules and micro costing dictionaries should ideally be updated annually to reflect current pricing and drug/supply costs. </li><li>Setting up/reviewing Surgery center costing after accounting transitioned to Meditech. </li><li>Review all provider practice costing after staff and expenses transitioned to HRH corp. </li><li>Reviewing g/l allocations to ensure all costs gets fully allocated to revenue producing cost centers. </li><li>Monthly cost accounting maintenance (setting up new procedures and closing costing) </li></ul> <p>PREMIER</p> <ul> <li>Assist with bi-weekly productivity reporting. </li></ul> <p>MONTH END</p> <ul> <li>IHA databank reporting </li><li>Provider reports </li><li>Annual Reports </li><li>AHA </li><li>Annual Financial Report - State Board of Accounts </li><li>Annual Fiscal Report - ISDH </li><li>Annual Service Report - ISDH </li><li>Annual Survey of Local Gov't Finances -US Census Bureau </li><li>Annual Integrated Economic Survey -US Census Bureau </li></ul> <p>EXPECTED BEHAVIORS:</p> <ul> <li>Evidence of good grooming and professional conduct </li><li>Possess a sense of responsibility, initiative, honesty and confidentiality </li><li>Desire and ability to cooperate with other </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES:</p> <p>Demonstrates our Patient's First Commitment and our Hancock Health values.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>3-years previous analyst experience preferred </li><li>Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting required </li><li>Mandatory Annual Education </li><li>Knowledge of finance and accounting functions </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft office programs, with advanced knowledge of excel </li><li>Skill in analyzing financial data and preparing appropriate related reports </li><li>Skill in identifying and resolving problems </li><li>Skill in attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly both written and oral </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload </li></ul>
