This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of all patrons and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the aquatic areas.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and patrol activities in and around aquatic center facilities </li><li>Administer first aid and/or CPR as necessary </li><li>Ensure customer satisfaction for patrons and events </li><li>Assist with swim lessons and aquatic classes </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, locker rooms, showers, and party rooms </li><li>Care for and manage swimming equipment </li><li>Report facility or safety issues </li><li>Assist swimmers in distress </li><li>Enforce pool rules and regulations </li><li>Support swim meets, aquatic programs, and events </li><li>Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and city events as needed </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>The ideal candidate will hold a current Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross. </li><li>Must have current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification </li><li>Must be at least 16 years of age </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Excellent customer service and attention to detail </li><li>Candidates without certification may still apply; the City will assist with certification for non-certified applicants </li></ul> <p>Note: This is a safety/security-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing after employment.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Please apply and submit resumes with any current certifications and availability.
