As the program continues to grow, we're seeking a strong leader to drive the development of core capabilities toward an approach designed to consider, measure and interpret all elements that contribute to a personalized outcome.</p> <p>As a Director in Clinical Innovation, you will play a leadership role in building the future of evidence generation designed to modernize the approach to clinical design. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and build robust approaches to evidence generation and quickly distill results into actionable next steps to progress toward the strategic vision.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Identify, develop and validate clinical scales, tools and methods to support Aesthetic outcomes (pan-franchise). </li><li>Build strong integration packages to ensure new capabilities are seamlessly leveraged across the business. </li><li>Lead high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Work hand in hand with data sciences to leverage the power of AI toward enhanced insights and to intentionally fill data gaps using the innovative methods/tools/scales developed within your team. </li><li>Identify and cultivate strong functional and cross functional (Therapeutic Areas, Discovery Sciences, Translational Sciences, etc) relationships to drive organizational synergies and develop meaningful solutions that span translation to late development studies. </li><li>Stay ahead of emerging science, technologies and trends to identify areas of focus and where we may drive efficiencies by sourcing capabilities externally. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>MD or PhD in Biological Sciences. </li><li>10+ years of experience with 3+ years in a leadership role. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Highly collaborative, genuinely enjoys working hand-in-hand in team environment to develop solutions that advance AbbVie's overall mission. </li><li>Demonstrated research background with proven track record of building on foundational work to advance projects to resolute finish. </li><li>Experienced in identifying creative solutions for hard to solve challenges. </li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience managing projects within complex matrixed organization. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
