<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Food Services/Nutrition Services Coordinator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/10/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Early Childhood Center/Englewood, CO</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Nutrition Services Coordinator</p> <p>LOCATION: Early Childhood Center</p> <p>WORK YEAR: 172 calendar days</p> <p>SCHEDULE: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday</p> <p>WORK STATUS: Classified, Hourly Non-Exempt</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Multi-Site Kitchen Manager</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>This person coordinates and collaborates with the Multi-Site Manager in managing the Child Nutrition Programs at the Early Childhood Center. Responsible for food preparation, meal service and cleaning. Must be a team player. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assists with food production and prepares all required items according to USDA & CDE guidelines </li><li>Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards </li><li>Completes assigned District/USDA paperwork </li><li>Communicate with Multi-Site Manager in the operation of the Early Childhood Center </li><li>Ring student sales through the District's Point of Sale software - daily </li><li>Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary </li><li>Maintains neat professional appearance and conducts and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times </li><li>Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations </li><li>Receive and check all incoming orders according to HACCP guidelines </li><li>Assist in maintaining stock rotation </li><li>Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor </li><li></li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES:</p> <p>None</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or G.E.D. </li><li>Computer/Point of Sale (POS) experience </li><li>Some knowledge of commercial cooking and baking; use of commercial cooking equipment </li><li>Basic math skills </li><li>Effective communication </li><li>Driver's License and the ability to transport food and supplies within the District </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual Spanish/English desirable. </li><li>Up to one year of previous experience in a related field </li></ul> <p>GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Is flexible and adaptable to change </li><li>Has the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and co-workers </li><li>Maintains a positive attitude </li><li>Observes all district policies and procedures </li><li>Supports the Sheridan School District Strategic Plan </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions required the following physical demands: some lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and signification fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires constant standing and lifting 5-20 pounds, frequent reaching and walking, occasional bending, sitting and climbing. This job is performed in a generally clean and comfortable environment; some odors and fumes; some noise, temperature extremes; potentially hazardous situations.</p> <p>CLEARANCE:</p> <p>Must clear online background check and FBI Fingerprint check through Colorado Bureau of Investigation.</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>Initial salary placement on Class 2 of the Food Service Personnel Salary Schedule and is $19.58 - $24.88 per hour, based upon previous related experience.</p> <p>Please note: This is an at-will position with the Sheridan School District. The annual salary for this position will be determined by number of hours scheduled to work each day and number of days scheduled to work each year. The computed annual salary will be spread out in equal payments over 12 months. Sheridan School District employees are paid once a month.</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>Employees who are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible to obtain district health benefits which include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and supplemental benefits. Positions that qualify for health benefits also qualify for leave which could include vacation and daily leave to be determined by the position and number of days assigned. Sheridan School District No. 2 is a public employer and participates in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). All employees are required by statute to contribute 11% of salary on a pre-tax basis to PERA.
