Ensure that assigned facilities areas remain in a state of cleanliness consistent with agency standards. Duties include servicing areas that are security sensitive.</p> <p>Specific Duties</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and execute custodial duties to maintain a healthy and clean work environment. </li><li>Ensure that cleaning supplies and paper supplies are well stocked and reordered when required. Ensure all custodial equipment is operating correctly and notify supervisor of any deficiencies and/or any required corrective action or repairs. </li><li>Ensure that all cleaning chemicals are utilized in accordance with MSDS requirements. </li><li>Rotate areas of responsibility as needed to accommodate the agency's needs and assists in coverage for absences of other custodial staff. </li><li>Work with light maintenance items as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma </li><li>Two (2) years of custodial experience </li><li>Must have skills and the ability to operate custodial equipment and practice good housekeeping procedures. </li><li>Must be able to manage inventory of custodial supplies including paper products and cleaning supplies. </li><li>Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with agency personnel in a positive and productive manner. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>SLED offers an exceptional benefits package for FTE positions that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Children </li><li>State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs </li></ul> <p>This is a temporary, full-time position that offers insurance benefits.
