Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Schedules and coordinates flow of raw material and paperwork between the Inventory Control and production departments by performing the following duties, with constant supervision.</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains inventory of raw material needed to complete on time production. </li><li>Compiles and maintains computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials. </li><li>Compiles computerized stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of stock on hand, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. </li><li>Coordinates utilization of inventory from Shultz Steel LLC. </li><li>Negotiates and finalizes purchases of raw material for assigned material classes. </li><li>Includes all phases of mill contact, including coordination of claims and debits. </li><li>Assists Sales personnel with material and inventory information, including mill quotes. </li><li>Establishes priorities for specific customer orders. </li><li>Computes amount of material required to complete job orders. </li><li>Responsible for each job (in assigned material class) from material reservation through the start of final production. </li><li>Determines material availability, allocation, traveler writing (including conversion travelers) and process scheduling. </li><li>Reviews master production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. </li><li>Keeps backorder file in established sequence and releases backorders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available. </li><li>Approve for payment all invoices for raw material (within assigned material class) and freight bills. </li><li>Coordinate material thru VAR department. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>have knowledge of all Microsoft Office software as well as Inventory software; Order processing systems; must have expert skills in Excel spreadsheet software. </li><li>Ability to </li></ul>
