<p>Title Assistant Professor of Foundations and Secondary Education with Expertise in Educational Technology Appointment Status Tenure Track Department IU South Bend Education Location South Bend Position Summary</p> <p>The School of Education at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a full-time, tenure track faculty Assistant Professor of Secondary/Foundation of Education with training in and knowledge of Educational Technology practices. This position will be instrumental in aligning the program with state requirements related to the use of science-based reading curriculum and enhancing literacy outcome.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>The full-time load (100% FTE) is 12 credit hours (typically four courses) each fall and spring semester, with one course (25% FTE) reassigned time for scholarly and creative activities following university & campus policies. </li><li>Teaching in the summer is voluntary and compensated separately. </li><li>Courses may be in-person, online, hybrid, or in additional formats, and may be offered in the evenings/weekends or on off-campus locations. </li><li>Candidate is in the process of establishing or continuing a robust research agenda. The candidate aspires to develop a national or international presence in their field. The candidate is familiar with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research techniques. </li><li>Assisting in School/Division Level in bringing new technology to the school and classroom. </li><li>Providing service to the school, college, campus, and university and participate in shared governance activities </li><li>Working collaboratively with faculty from across campuses, K-12 schools, and outside agencies. </li></ul> <p>Indiana University is an equal opportunity employer and provider of ADA services and prohibits discrimination in hiring.
