<p>APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Interested applicants should submit the following materials with their application: </li><li>Cover Letter </li><li>Resume </li></ul> <p>TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Part-Time, Staff *Grant-Funded</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: CSTEP</p> <p>SCHEDULE: Flexible, Monday - Thursday (during business hours)</p> <ul> <li>Occasional weekend work required for Open House and Accepted Students Day </li><li>Occasional evening work required 2 times a year. </li></ul> <p>REMOTE WORK: Yes, occasional</p> <p>HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 25 hours/week and 52 weeks/year</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Hourly</p> <p>GENERAL PURPOSE</p> <p>The CSTEP project support specialist is responsible for assisting in the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of eligible students and the implementation of the day-to-day activities of the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) in consultation with the CSTEP project director and campus departments. Responsibilities include maintaining the events calendar and assisting with logistical details leading to the smooth execution of workshops, meetings, conference participation, and other commitments. Provides academic and career advising to CSTEP students. Coordinates and evaluates the mentoring program and service-learning activities. Keeping financial records related to office administration, including processing purchase orders, purchasing supplies and equipment, responding to invoice and reimbursement inquiries, and student stipends. Aiding in compiling data and preparation of the New York State Education Department funder narrative and financial reports.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Project Implementation: Assisting in the recruitment, enrollment, retention, and counseling of eligible students. Involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CSTEP mentoring program, and coordinates student service-learning activities. Coordinate day-to-day administrative/program activities based on the CSTEP project director's guidance and project goals. Maintains a detailed, up-to-date event/activity calendar; prepares the CSTEP director for daily activity alerts to upcoming important meetings and commitments; tracks correspondence, including email. Responds to verbal and written requests for information. Assists in problem-solving related to students and programming. Organizes meetings and sits on the CSTEP advisory committee. </li><li>Record Keeping & Reporting: Assists in the gathering, preparation, and dissemination of information relating to the administration, evaluation, and program-related functions. Keeps financial records, including processing purchase orders, purchasing supplies and equipment, responding to invoice and reimbursement inquiries, in line with the project budget. Assists with detailed reports for project administrators, campus presentations, and funder reports. </li><li>Marketing: Creates, edits, and assists with the production and distribution of brochures, flyers, and other materials to promote the program. Works with student ambassadors to coordinate social media posts. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>1 to 3 years of work related experience </li><li>Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT</p> <ul> <li>Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. </li></ul> <p>SALARY INFORMATION</p> <p>When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
