The Manager, Materials Control, is responsible for ensuring that materials inventory levels are adequate to meet production needs at the assigned location.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Inventory Control and other managers and departments to plan and coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and usage of materials. </li><li>Closely monitors and controls inventory levels and works with the Supervisor, Warehouse to proactively acquire or move materials to meet production needs. </li><li>Provides input on the evaluation and improvement of materials management processes and policies. </li><li>Leads, trains, and coaches Supervisors, Materials Control and ensures the Supervisor is hiring, training, and coaching team members for assigned location. </li><li>Serves as a model for team members and serves as a point of escalation for complex problems and employee situations. </li><li>Ensures safe and business administration or a related field preferred, but not required.</p> <p>A minimum of 5 years of related experience HVAC industry experience, 2 of which are in management. 8 years of related experience is preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in materials management, inventory control, purchasing or a similar role. </li><li>Knowledge of materials management software and systems. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools. </li><li>Excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards
