Rudy School of Nursing & Health Professions offers multiple undergraduate and graduate programs across the Health Professions. These include athletic training, exercise & sport science, and sport management. The ideal candidate for this position should be able to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Sport Management.</p> <p>Applications are being sought for a full-time Assistant Professor to teach introductory, upper-division, and Master's-level courses. Cumberland University offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in each discipline. Applicants must possess the ability to lead and grow the program of study.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Subject matter expertise in sport management and/or sport & exercise science (or closely related field). </li><li>Ability to teach interdisciplinary courses related to health/wellness, research methods, quantitative methods, ethical and legal issues, fitness management, strength & condition, socio-cultural aspects of sport, and/or sport psychology. </li><li>Demonstrated interpersonal/intrapersonal skills, especially in engaging with traditional and non-traditional university students. </li><li>Evidence of high level of personal agency and initiative. </li><li>Ability to advise and mentor students regarding educational and career goals. </li><li>Successful use of multiple creative instructional strategies and technologies in the classroom and online to improve educational outcomes of diverse learners. </li><li>Background of working with diverse groups of colleagues and constituents to collaboratively maintain and improve programming. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching at the collegiate level. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver courses on-ground and online. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Completed doctoral degree Sport Management (or closely related field). ABD will be considered. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Available fall and spring semesters on-site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN.
