We are here to help our customers realize success, own homes they love, and create more opportunities for them down the road.</p> <p>What will you do in this role?The Market Analyst Intern will support the Land and Market Analysis team in researching, analyzing, and presenting housing market trends, competitive landscapes, and demographic data to inform land acquisition, product planning, and sales strategy. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry, combining data analysis with market intelligence to drive real-world business decisions.</p> <p>This internship is an exciting opportunity where you will gain exposure to the full homebuilding lifecycle from land acquisition through sales, learn how market insights directly influence business strategy and profitability, and build skills in market research, data analysis, and competitive intelligence within a real-world setting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities Market Research & Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Collect and analyze housing market data, including sales trends, pricing, absorption rates, and product types. </li><li>Research competitor communities, product offerings, amenities, and marketing strategies. </li><li>Support the preparation of market studies and feasibility analyses for prospective land acquisitions. </li><li>Monitor economic indicators, demographic trends, and local government planning activities that may impact housing demand. </li></ul> <p>Data Management & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and update databases of community performance, housing starts, and market share. </li><li>Create visual reports, charts, and dashboards for internal presentations. </li><li>Assist in preparing detailed market reports for leadership review. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Land Acquisition, Product Development, Sales, and Finance teams to align market insights with business strategies. </li><li>Participate in field visits to evaluate communities and competitive developments. </li><li>Support presentations to leadership and assist with ad-hoc research requests. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Marketing, or a related field. </li><li>Coursework or experience in data analysis, market research, or real estate preferred. </li><li>Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI a plus). </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly </li></ul> <p>Benefits & Perks</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive benefits package for all full-time team members includes Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA accounts, 401K, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and EAP </li><li>Time Off benefits include Vacation, Sick, Holiday, Bereavement, Jury Duty, FMLA, refresh, floating holidays, and parental leave </li><li>Home purchase discount </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Expected Salary: $20 - $25 per hour </li></ul> <p>All benefits are subject to qualification and hire dates.</p> <p>Why Oakwood Homes?</p> <p>At Oakwood, we're more than a homebuilder-we're a people-first company committed to opening doors to a better life.
