<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>You would provide essential front-desk support in a busy outpatient practice focused on adult and geriatric care. Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and handling referrals and authorizations. Also assists with chart preparation, incoming calls, and maintaining accurate patient records. Ideal for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming and efficient experience for every patient.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.</p> </li><li> <p>Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.</p> </li><li> <p>Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products.
