<p>Who We Are</p> <p>Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing, employment, and education. When joining PPL, you become a part of a diverse team whose goal is to assist our residents and communities with the groundwork they need not only to survive but also to thrive.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians (Tier II & III) to join our Property Management Team. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of PPL properties through repairs, preventative maintenance, and unit preparation. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, customer-service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Respond to service requests and complete work orders efficiently. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and prepare units for new residents. </li><li>Conduct inspections and report necessary repairs. </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation (timesheets, work orders, logs). </li><li>Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotation. </li><li>Represent PPL professionally and maintain positive resident relations. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualification</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred). </li><li>1+ year of experience in property maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). </li><li>Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation. </li><li>Basic tools required (e.g., hammer, screwdrivers). </li><li>Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse populations. </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications for Tier II and III</p> <ul> <li>Boiler License required. </li><li>3-7 years of experience in residential building maintenance. </li><li>Proven technical competency and ability to work independently. </li><li>Ability to direct maintenance staff in the absence of the Regional Maintenance Supervisor (as needed) </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Health & Dental Insurance </li><li>Employer-Paid Short & Long-Term Disability & Life Insurance </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>HSA or FSA Options </li><li>PTO & Paid Holidays </li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan with Employer Match </li><li>Summer Half-Day Fridays (Memorial Day-Labor Day) </li></ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Apply online with your resume and cover letter.
